WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — On Saturday, the Southern Ohio Buckeye Bikers sponsored a car show which was held on the lot of Gordons CDJR lot, 1120 Clinton Ave. The show was called the Cruisin’ For Our Vets (Mike Mallow Memorial) Car & Motorcycle Show.

Cars from as far away as Zanesville showed up to show off their vintage cars and motorcycles. They had several categories of winners by separating the years of the entries. The final winner was Best of Show to take the big prize. A food truck was on scene, and raffles and music kept the entrants busy. They also auctioned off a fire pit and Blackstone griddle to raise money.

The bikers’ organization is dedicated to helping veterans in central Ohio, and has donated to such places as the local VFW, American Legion, the Military Chow Hall Food Pantry, and the Fayette County Honor Guard. The bikers’ organization is made up of all volunteers and committed to raising money for local veterans, according to its president D.J. Jenkins.

The winner of the Best of Show trophy was Karen Young of St. Paris, Ohio with her 1937 Chevy.
