HILLSBORO — Frontier Athletic Conference girls golf match number five was played on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at the Hillsboro Elks Golf Course.
Ahead of the match, the Jackson led the league with a record of 20-0 in FAC matches. Miami Trace was second at 15-5, McClain in third at 10-10, Chillicothe in fourth at 9-11, Hillsboro in fifth at 5-15 and Washington in sixth at 1-19.
The Ironladies continued to extend their lead on Tuesday as they were victorious with a team score of 202, keeping them undefeated at 25-0. Hillsboro came in second with a 221 which moved them to 9-16. Miami Trace was third with a 222 and are now 18-7. Chillicothe finished fourth with a 226 and moved to 11-14. McClain placed fifth with a 229 and their record is now 11-14. Washington ended in sixth with a 237, making them now 1-24.
Individually for Jackson, Aubrey Arnold was the medalist and led the team with a 36, followed by Alayna Hitchcock with a 50, Alia Rippeth with a 53, Ava Jenkins and Alanta Gibson each with a 63 and Noel Saunders each with a 72.
For Hillsboro, Emma Yochum led with a 51, followed by Blake Herdman with a 54, Amani Cumberland with a 56, Halle Jones with a 60, Addy Knauff with a 61 and Rylea Scarberry with a 62.
For Miami Trace, Emily Reeves led with a 49, followed by Alison Reeves with a 55, Emily Keaton with a 58, Rylee Ferguson and Ashlynd Hippely each with a 60 and Josie Puckett with a 65.
For Chillicothe, Qiuchengxi Su led with a 52, followed by Cadie Boltenhouse with a 56, Mallorie McCloy with a 58 and Nia Brown and Ista Mcneal each with a 60.
For McClain, Kaylin Sterling led with a 55, followed by Abbie Lovett and Kallie Posey each with a 56, Reese Roble with a 62 and Avery Murphy and Hailey Cornett each with a 63.
For Washington, Faith Wynne led with a 43, followed by Gwendolyn Duncan with a 60, Arabella Cadena with a 62, Gwendolyn Duncan with a 67 and Addylyn Mason with a 72.
The sixth and final FAC golf match is set for Thursday, Aug. 22 at Buckeye Hills Country Club at 4 p.m. The girls FAC Championship will take place on Monday, Sept. 18 at the Greens Golf Course of Fayette County.
