FCPH releases food inspection reports

The following are food inspection reports recently released by Fayette County Public Health:

Wendy’s, 12498 US 35 — July 10, 2024

Condensation from soda machine pipes found dripping inside dining room cabinet. Condensation from air vents found dripping in back kitchen area near three compartment sinks.

Soil accumulation found in the following areas:

Dining room – Cabinets, closet near restroom.

Kitchen – floor, baseboards, under and behind equipment, walls.

Walk-in freezer – floor.

Mop sink area.

The hand wash sink in back kitchen area near mop sink has a faucet that is disproportionately larger than sink, causing water to spill out onto the floor. According to management, the sink shifts when pressed on and they’ve had multiple repairs.

All food temperatures were good.

CCP Inspection: No critical violations. Procedures provided for cheese, lettuce, tomato and bacon held without temperature control. All were date marked and within expiration time. Process satisfactory.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, 12478 US Rt. 35 NW — July 10, 2024

Food containers found soiled. Food contact surfaces must be cleaned to sight and touch to prevent contamination.

Dishes stacked while wet. Allow dishes to air dry prior to stacking to prevent contamination.

Utensil holders found soiled.

Soil accumulation found in the following areas:

Mop sink area – Walls, floor, sink.

Back prep area – walls, baseboards, floor.

Kitchen – inside reach-in coolers, walls, baseboards, under and behind equipment.

Rice bins found soiled. Food contact surfaces must be clean to sight and touch to prevent contamination.

Stagnant water found in salad prep cooler (inner bottom shelf).

Kitchen hand sinks are provided with splash guards, however the cilantro and sauces are open and stored very close. It is recommended to relocate these condiments.

Love’s Travel Stop, 13023 US 35 — July 10, 2024

Hardee’s is using time without temperature control for sandwich station food products. Process was satisfactory. All temperatures were below 70 degrees F and date marked to indicate time of discard. They are using an alarm to remind employees of the discard time.

Retail store side:

Soil accumulation found on pop nozzles. Food contact surfaces must be cleaned to sight and touch at a frequency necessary to keep them clean. Also, the cutting boards were found soiled and discolored, need resurfaced.

Water leak found under hand wash sink located at coffee station.

Soil accumulation found in the following areas:

Coffee Station – cabinets, counters, outside food/drink machines.

Walk-in cooler – floor.

Ice machine next to condiments is no longer working. According to management, the machine will be removed.

The nozzles were removed and cleaned immediately, so corrected on site.

Hardee’s:

Food containers stored on the clean equipment rack found soiled. Food contact surfaces must be cleaned to sight and touch to prevent contamination.

Cracked lid found on clean equipment rack. Food contact surfaces must be free of cracks, smooth and easily cleanable to prevent contamination.

Hand washing sinks have gaps in between sink and the wall. Re caulking recommended.

Soil accumulation found in the following areas:

Storage room – floor, under and behind equipment.

Kitchen – Walls, backboards, floor, under and behind equipment.

Mop sink area – floor, walls, mop sink.

Dining room – cabinets.

Ice accumulation found on walk-in freezer floor. Management stated that they are awaiting a part to be replaced.

Baymont Inn & Suites, 11431 Allen Road – July 12, 2024

Follow-up.

The milk in mini fridge was found at 40 degrees F, and the sausage was at 135 degrees F in warmer. All safe temperatures. The cabinets and drawers are now clean.
