WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — It was a beautiful Saturday morning, and Second Chance Center of Hope and vendors were set up for a fundraiser next to the F.O.L.E.M.C building on South Fayette Street.

The F.O.L.E.M.C Gatekeepers Chapter of bikers sponsored the event to raise money for Second Chance. Vendors were set up to sell a variety of items. Second Chance needs to hold fundraisers multiple times per month to stay in operation.

The chicken and noodles dinner, with mashed potatoes, green beans and roll, will be offered this month. Pre-order by Aug. 29. Pickup of these dinners will be Aug. 30 from 2-5 p.m. at 420 W. Oakland Ave. The cost is $10 per dinner or $25 for a family size meal.

In October, Second Chance will have a pancake and sausage/gravy with biscuits breakfast from 9 a.m.-12 p.m on Oct. 5.

Second Chance welcomes all donations, and especially corporate entities. Second Chance is a place where lives are restored. They help the homeless, have a food pantry, clothing free-store, and household goods for anyone who needs these services. They touch the hearts of the community in various ways and hope and pray for community assistance.
