The following fire reports were released by the Washington Fire Department (WFD):

Aug. 7 – 1809 Columbus Ave.

FD received a fire alarm for building 1, zone 1. FD contacted maintenance personnel which advised it was room 126. FD checked the room and did not locate any issues.

Aug. 7 – 3398 Old SR 38

FD dispatched to a single-vehicle accident into a corn field. Upon arrival, the occupant had already exited the vehicle. FD checked the vehicle for any hazards and remained on scene until released by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

Aug. 6 – 166 Carolyn Road

FD received a call for a vehicle striking a parked car. Upon arrival, FD placed apparatus to create a safe working area. FD checked vehicles for any hazards. FD released from scene by the Washington Police Department.

Aug. 4 – 736 Robinson Road

FD dispatched to smoke coming from under the bridge. Upon investigation a small recreational fire was located. FD advised subject of the burning regulations and extinguished the fire.

Aug. 3 – 96 Washington Sq.

FD responded to a motorcycle into a building. On arrival, FD checked the scene for hazards and found a front window and frame were displaced, with no obvious structural damage. FD were released by the Washington Police Department and remained on scene until EMS units cleared.

Aug. 3 – 1319 Pearl St.

FD responded to a water meter leaking. On arrival, FD requested the water department for a possible main break. FD assisted the homeowner by turning off the incoming water supply and the hot water heater. FD remained on scene until the leak was stopped by the water department.

Aug. 3 – 244 Belle Ave.

FD responded to a carbon monoxide alarm activation. FD checked the house with gas metering equipment and no leaks were found. FD cleared the scene.

Aug. 3 – 793 Mclean St.

FD responded to a carbon monoxide detector activation. On arrival, FD made contact with the caller and checked the house with gas metering equipment. No problems were found. FD cleared the scene.

Aug. 2 –644 Bloomingburg-New Holland Road NE

FD responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries. On arrival, FD checked the scene for hazards and started patient assessment prior to EMS arrival. EMS assumed patient care and FD remained on scene until released by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

July 31 – 738 Broadway St.

FD responded to a carbon monoxide alarm activation. On arrival, FD made contact with the caller on the front porch. FD checked the house with gas metering equipment and briefly detected 6ppm in the utility room when the gas water heater was operating. No other CO was detected. FD recommended having the vent inspected and cleared the scene.
