According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Aug. 28

Disturbance: At 2:21 a.m., police responded to the 700 block of East Paint Street in reference to a disturbance that was possibly a physical altercation. When officers arrived on scene, the complainant and witnesses directed officers to 707 E. Paint St. Officers began to try and make contact at the residence with no answer. A loud argument could be heard from inside the residence. Officers made entry into the residence and began the investigation. A male resident was subsequently arrested. Matthew Scoggins was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing official business and resisting arrest.

Assault: At 10:40 a.m., police received a complaint of an assault that occurred in the area of Commerce Boulevard and Crossings Drive. The victim reported that a dispute occurred over a vehicle being parked, blocking another vehicle. The dispute turned physical when the victim stated he was assaulted by an unknown male. A report was taken.

Aug. 27

Disorderly Conduct: At 7:24 a.m., an officer responded to the 200 block of Chestnut Street in reference to a neighbor dispute. While an officer was present, one of the neighbors continued causing a disturbance and was subsequently arrested. Shane M. Wallace was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

Criminal Damaging: At 3:43 p.m., police responded to Seaton Senior housing, located at 400 N. Glenn Ave. in reference to damaged property. An officer arrived on scene and spoke with the manager of the building. The manager reported that door handles had been damaged. A report was taken.

Aug. 26

Possession of Drug Abuse Instruments: At 7:53 a.m. after being arrested on two active warrants at Seton Senior Housing, a Delaware, Ohio female was found to be in possession of a syringe commonly used to ingest drugs.

Disorderly Conduct: At 8:31 a.m., a Washington Court House male was arrested for disorderly conduct after causing a disturbance at Dollar General. The police department has received eight similar calls involving the same male in the past 30 days.

Disorderly Conduct/Resisting Arrest: At 11:50 p.m., a Broadway Street female was arrested after officers responded to a disturbance. While being placed under arrest, the female resisted.
