A century ago, the Althouse family gathered for their first reunion, which started a yearly tradition. On Sunday, Aug. 4, 2024, everyone celebrated their 100th gathering with a total attendance of 83.

The Althouse reunion has been held at several locations in Ohio throughout the years. The last nine years it has been held in Good Hope.

The history is the most important part. Samuel Althouse started the reunion. Bylaws were created stating “the family was to reunite and to be held the first Sunday in August every year.”

The reunion is a chance for the younger generation to connect with their elders, share stories, food and create memories.

The Althouse family would like to thank each and every single person who has made this possible throughout the years.
