Miami Trace volleyball improves to 6-0 with 3-set win at Waverly

WAVERLY — The Miami Trace High School varsity volleyball team visited Waverly High School Tuesday, Sept. 3 for a non-conference match against the Tigers.

Miami Trace won in three sets, 25-19, 25-21 and 25-21.

Miami Trace improves to 6-0 with the win.

Addyson Butts led the Panthers with 20 kills. She also had one ace serve and two blocks.

Lauren Farrens had 15 kills, two ace serves and one block.

Sydney Carter had 28 digs and 14 serve receives.

“The girls have done a good job of adjusting and finding ways to win,” Miami Trace head coach Doug Mace said. “Each match so far has brought us a new challenge that we have had to overcome.”

Miami Trace will host Zane Trace Saturday, beginning with the j-v match at 10 a.m.
