Lady Lions fall to Clinton-Massie in girls golf match

WILMINGTON — On Thursday, Sept. 5, the Washington Lady Lion golf team traveled to the Elks 797 Golf Club to compete in a tri-match with Clinton-Massie and Blanchester.

The Lady Falcons won the match with a team score of 165, followed by Washington with a 193 and Blanchester with a 222.

Individually for Washington, Faith Wynne led and was the medalist with a 34, shooting one-under par. Wynne was followed by Addison Yahn with a 50, Arabella Cadena with a 53, Gwendolyn Duncan with a 56 and Addylyn Mason with a 61.

According to Lady Lion head coach Kyle Maust, Wynne, Cadena, Yahn and Mason each shot personal bests on the day, and this is the best team score that he has had in his tenure as the head coach.

Washington is back in action on Monday, Sept. 9 at home against Miami Trace and Wilmington at 4:30 p.m.
