Cavaliers close gap in boys FAC golf standings

CHILLICOTHE — The fifth of six regular season Frontier Athletic Conference boys golf matches took place Monday evening at the Chillicothe Country Club.

Going into the match, the Ironmen led the league with a record of 19-1 in FAC matches, followed by Chillicothe at 17-3, Hillsboro at 9-11, Washington and Miami Trace tied at 6-14 and McClain at 3-17.

Chillicothe won the match on Monday with a 163, moving their record to 22-3, Jackson finished second with a 169 and are now 23-2, Washington placed third with a 183 which puts them at 9-16, McClain took fourth with a 187 which makes them 5-20, Hillsboro came in fifth with a 191 to make their record 10-15 and Miami Trace finished sixth to move their record to 6-19.

Individually for the Cavaliers, Aidan Fischer led and was the medalist with a 35, followed by Vincent Haller with a 39, Jackson Oyer with a 40, JB Maravilla with a 49, Kooper Elliott with a 50 and Jackson McNeal with a 56.

Individually for Jackson, Parker Holsteion led with a 39, followed by Noah Ernst with a 41, Garison Marcum with a 44, Dalton Kight with a 45, Rylan Wyant with a 46 and Easton McGraw with a 53.

Individually for Washington, Logan Clevenger led with a 41, followed by Shane Crago and Nathan Snyder each with a 47, Will Miller with a 48 and Bryson Heath and Logan Krape each with a 52.

Individually for McClain, Zane Adams and Carson Chandler each led with a 46, followed by Connor Chandler with a 47, Carter Nelson and Leland Ewry with a 48 and Jeremy Webb with a 50.

Individually for Hillsboro, Tate Davis led with a 43, followed by Conner Kelch with a 47, Walker Pence with a 50, Logan Zurface with a 51 and Logan Barton with a 55.

Individually for Miami Trace, Gavin Cottrill led with a 46, followed by Carter Davidson with a 49, Cade Whitaker with a 50, Gabe Carson with a 51, Gage Bowers with a 52 and Cole Whiteside with a 55.

The sixth and final regular season FAC match is scheduled for this evening at 4 p.m. at Buckeye Hills Country Club.
