The Fayette County Historical Society Board of Trustees has announced that the 2024 Washington Cemetery Tour has been cancelled due to time and logistical issues.

According to a news release, the Historical Society has accepted the responsibility of organization and oversight for the 2025 tours. Staying with the theme of presentations of the histories of Fayette County’s iconic figures, it was a logical transition for the Historical Society to carry on this popular event.

Please watch for announcements as it works to continue the tours in 2025.

The Board of Trustees stated, “One of our favorite themes is ‘It’s Your History, Please Come and Enjoy Learning About Fayette County.’”
