Cat rescued from car wash finds his ‘forever home’

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, OHIO — The Fayette Regional Humane Society (FRHS) is excited to announce that “Turbo Rinse,” the kitten who gained local, state, and national attention after being rescued from Ultimate Shine Car Wash, has been adopted and given a new name—“Tucker.”

After his remarkable rescue and recovery, Tucker has now found his forever home with a loving family in Carlisle, Ohio.

Tucker was discovered in a heart-stopping moment at Ultimate Shine Car Wash, drenched and frightened after surviving the high-pressure water jets of the facility. Thanks to the quick actions of the car wash staff, Tucker was saved, dried off, and brought to the Fayette Regional Humane Society, where he received care and a thorough check-up.

“We’re thrilled to see Tucker start a new chapter in his life with a family who adores him,” said Brad Adams, chief humane agent and outreach director at FRHS. “His story captured the hearts of many, and it’s heartwarming to see such a positive outcome.”

Tucker’s adopter couldn’t be more pleased, sharing that he has settled in well and is already receiving the love and attention every kitten deserves, according to Adams. His journey from a frightened rescue to a cherished family pet highlights the impact a caring community can have on the life of an animal in need.

FRHS extends its gratitude to the local community for their support and to everyone who followed Tucker’s journey. This story is a powerful reminder of the importance of checking for hidden animals under vehicles, especially as the weather changes.
