Lady Lions fall to Jackson in four sets

The Washington Lady Lions (1-8-0-3 FAC) hosted the Jackson Ironladies (1-8, 0-3 FAC) on Thursday with both teams looking for their first league win of the season.

After winning the first set 25-18, they fell in a very close set by a score of 26-24, and then proceeded to fall 25-21 and 25-17 as the Ironladies claimed victory in four sets.

In the j-v contest, Jackson won in two sets, 26-24 and 25-21.

Statistically for the Lady Lions, Scotti Quigley led in aces with five, followed by Maggi Wall with four and Aysha Haney, Maggie Pfeifer, Anna Tackage and Alora Self each with one.

In kills, Quigley led with six, followed by Pfeifer and Iyanna Brown with five, Peyton Hughes with three, Wall with two and Self with one.

Haney led in set assists with six, followed by Tackage with two.

Hughes led in solo blocks with five, followed by Quigley with three and Pfeifer with one.

Wall led in digs with 18, followed by Haney with 11, Pfeifer with 10, Self with nine, Quigley with seven, Tackage with six and Hughes with two.

Washington (1-9, 0-4 FAC) is back in action this morningat home for a tri-match against Whiteoak (1-6, 0-3 SHAC) and Greeneview (4-6, 2-4 OHC).

Jackson (2-8, 1-3 FAC) will host Chillicothe (5-7, 2-2 FAC) on Tuesday.
