FRHS set to launch Wellness Wednesdays in October

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — The Fayette Regional Humane Society (FRHS) is pleased to announce that 289 Fayette County animals were vaccinated this summer through its free vaccine clinic, generously sponsored by the PetCo Foundation.

Due to the community’s positive feedback and the ongoing need for accessible veterinary care, FRHS will launch a new Wellness Wednesdays initiative. Beginning on Oct. 2, the free clinic will be held every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the FRHS Animal Care and Adoption Center at 4 Commerical Ave. in Washington C.H. No appointment is necessary.

The free vaccines include the annual FVRCP vaccine for cats and the DHPP vaccine for dogs. In addition to these, other services are available at an additional cost:

Rabies Vaccine – $15

Microchip – $30

Flea Treatment – $15

Bordetella Vaccine – $20

While PetCo is providing the FVRCP and DHPP vaccines free of charge, FRHS will request an administrative donation of $5 per animal. This donation helps cover costs associated with staffing, health records, syringes, needles, personal protective equipment (PPE), and necessary documentation.

Wellness Wednesdays offer local pet owners an affordable way to ensure their pets are up-to-date on essential vaccinations, contributing to the overall health and safety of the community.
