Cavaliers score volleyball wins at WHS

The Washington Blue Lion volleyball teams hosted Chillicothe in Frontier Athletic Conference action Thursday, Sept. 26.

The Cavaliers swept the freshman, reserve and varsity matches.

Chillicothe won the varsity match in three sets, 25-11, 25-13 and 25-20.

The Cavs won the j-v match in two sets, 25-13 and 25-15 and the visitors took the freshman match, 25-8, 25-6.

For Washington in the varsity match, Scotti Quigley led with five kills.

Peyton Hughes, Ava Hines and Maggie Pfeifer each had three kills.

Maggi Wall led Washington with 15 digs. Jarika Mick had six digs, Alora Self and Pfeifer each had four digs.

Wall had three ace serves, Quigley, Hines and Haney each had one ace serve and Quigley had two blocks.

Washington (1-7 FAC, 3-13 overall) will play at Jackson (1-7, 2-13) Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 5 p.m.

Washington is at Miami Trace Thursday, Oct. 3, with the freshman match at 5 p.m.
