MTHS girls, MTMS boys win xc event at Westfall

WILLIAMSPORT — The Miami Trace Panthers cross country teams participated in the Adam Carter Memorial at Westfall High School Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024.

For Miami Trace’s high school girls team, Tori Peterson placed second in 23:13.3, just three-tenths of a second behind the winner, Gabby Henry of Westfall.

Jayda Jones placed seventh in 26:24.4; Karlee Johnson was 10th in 27:08.8.

Emily Parsley was 16th in 34:17.7 and Kami Kulin was 18th in 38:19.1.

The Miami Trace High School boys team placed third out of five teams at Westfall.

Westfall won with 24 points, followed by Paint Valley with 39 points and Miami Trace with 82 placement points.

New Hope Christian Academy was fourth with 109 points and McClain was fifth with 125 points.

Josh Trapp of Westfall won the race with a time of 17:47.0.

The Mustangs placed six runners in the top 10.

Justin Everhart was the top placer for Miami Trace, taking seventh in 20:19.5.

Dart Stovall of McClain was 11th in 20:35.5.

Will Enochs of Miami Trace was 14th in 20:47.0.

Garrett Carson was 17th with a time of 20:49.7, Gabe Carson was 22nd in 22:45.9; Seth Thompson was 28th in 24:23.2; Meyer Bloom was 29th with a time of 24:49.6; Kaden Batson was 30th in 24:55.5; Ethan Smith was 32nd in 24:14.4; Easton Jenkins placed 39th in 28:25.3.

Also for McClain, Nicolas Alvarez was 33rd in 26:03.1; Zander Lyons was 36th in 26:41.2; Avery Truman placed 37th in 27:20.2; Jesse Van Hoose was 38th in a time of 27:37.2; Nathan Alvarez finished 41st in 33:01.3.

Miami Trace Middle School boys won the event with 21 placement points.

Westfall was second with 54 points and Greenfield was third with 58 points.

Emmitt Wallace of Piketon won the race with a time of 11:34.8.

Ryan Hatert of Miami Trace placed second out of a field of 34 in 11:55.3.

Griffin Strider of Miami Trace was third in 12:26.7.

Also for Miami Trace, Cam Thoroman was fifth in 12:52.9; Wesley Creamer was seventh with a time of 13:13.1; Xzavier Pedroza was ninth in 13:32.0; A.J. Hauer was 11th in 13:38.9; Martin Burke was 14th with a time of 14:31.6; Luke Robinette was 15th in 14:33.2; Nolan LeBeau finished 17th in 14:41.4; Jamison Strider was 19th in 15:45.6; Mason Carper placed 23rd with a time of 16:41.9; J.D. King was 25th in 17:04.9; Ronald Mader was 27th in 17:34.1; Henry Dhume was 31st in 18:18.8 and Emiliano Rodriguez was 33rd in 19:10.4.

Isaac Mincey was the first from Greenfield to finish the race, placing eighth in 13:23.2.

Also for Greenfield: Renick Gray, 10th, 13:33.6; Owen Sykes, 16th, 14:39.9; Mason Drummond, 21st, 16:16.9; Jack Judkins, 28th, 17:52.0; Landan Cullom, 30th, 17:57.5.

Westfall won the middle school girls event with 24 points.

Greenfield was second with 31 points.

Emily Burke of Paint Valley won with a time of 13:23.1.

Lila Banks of Greenfield was second in 13:31.5.

Kamri Reno of Miami Trace placed fourth with a time of 15:20.0.

Molly Payton was eighth in 18:41.3, Addi Carper was ninth in 19:35.5 and Lydia Card was 10th in 19:48.1.

Also for Greenfield, Elise Morgan, 14th, 21:04.1; Alaina Best, 15th, 22:10.5; Braylee Brown, 16th, 23:01.3; Riley Lanning, 18th, 24:07.4 and Ren Bateman, 21st, 32:58.8.

Miami Trace will run at Blanchester Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
