Crossings Drive extension approved

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — The Washington C.H. City Planning Commission met in regular session on Tuesday in council chambers.

The Amendment to Zoning Ordinance for AirBnB usage that had been tabled for more needed information remained tabled.

The second application was from the Blue Pantheon Development Group. Steve Adler presented a preliminary plat for consideration to extend Crossing Drive at Commerce Boulevard, from the LCNB (bank) area to the Holiday Inn Express entrance drive.

Blue Pantheon Development owns the property facing US 62, between the bank and Courthouse Parkway. Since access to lots 16, 17, and 18 from Route 62 will not be permitted, an access road needs to be built to allow these lots to be developed. There is a commitment for lot 16 development, and lot 18 is currently in negotiation for a contract, but due to an NDA (non-disclosure agreement), Adler was not able to talk about his clients. With the development of lots 16 and 18, he is hoping to have interest in lot 17 as well. The property is zoned for general business district.

The commission reviewed the preliminary plat, done by McCarty Associates, there was little discussion, and it was moved for passage and approval of the plan. Road construction can begin and, per Adler, lot development will potentially begin in the spring of 2025.
