FAC Girls Golf Number Six held at Buckeye Hills

GREENFIELD — The Frontier Athletic Girls golfers completed their sixth and final FAC match of the season on Thursday at Buckeye Hills Country Club.

Going into the nine-hole match, Jackson led the league with a record of 25-0 in FAC matches. Miami Trace was second at 18-7, McClain and Chillicothe tied for third at 11-14, Hillsboro in fifth at 9-16 and Washington in sixth at 1-24.

The Ironladies further extended their lead on Thursday as they were victorious with a team score of 199, staying undefeated at 30-0. Miami Trace finished second with a 206 and are now 22-8. McClain came in third with a 209 and moved their record to 14-16. Chillicothe placed fourth with a 215 and are now 13-17. Hillsboro took fifth with a 216 which moved them to 10-20. Washington took sixth with a 232 and they are now 1-29.

Individually for Jackson, Aubrey Arnold was the medalist and led the team with a 35, followed by Alayna Hitchcock with a 47, Alia Rippeth with a 56, Ava Jenkins with a 61, Alanta Gibson with a 66 and Noel Saunders with a 70.

For Miami Trace, Emily Reeves led with a 45, followed by Alison Reeves with a 50, Ashlynd Hippely with a 53, Emily Keaton and Kelsy Douglas each with a 58 and Rylee Ferguson with a 63.

For McClain, Kaylin Sterling led with a 43, followed by Hailey Cornett with a 52, Abbie Lovett with a 55, Emma Marsh with a 59, Kallie Posey with a 61 and Reese Roble with a 64.

For Chillicothe, Cadie Boltenhouse led with a 43, followed by Qiuchengxi Su with a 55, Mallorie McCloy with a 56, Ista Mcneal with a 61 and Nia Brown with a 62.

For Hillsboro, Emma Yochum led with a 50, followed by Reagan Leeth with a 53, Amani Cumberland with a 56, Rylea Scarberry with a 57, Blake Herdman with a 58 and Halle Jones with a 60.

For Washington, Faith Wynne led with a 39, followed by Arabella Cadena with a 60, Addison Yahn with a 63 and Addylyn Mason with a 70.

The girls FAC Championship will take place on Monday, Sept. 18 at the Greens Golf Course of Fayette County starting at 9 a.m. The Ironladies need a top four finish to clinch an outright FAC Championship.
