GREENFIELD — On a beautiful Tuesday evening in Highland County, The Miami Trace Lady Panthers (3-2, 0-2 FAC) took on the McClain Lady Tigers (6-1, 1-1 FAC) in a rivalry Frontier Athletic Conference soccer contest.
It was intense and physical from start to finish, to say the least. Miami Trace took a 1-0 lead into the half, but two second half goals from McClain allowed them to come away with the 2-1 victory.
It was sophomore Nora Morrison who got the Lady Panthers on the board, connecting on a deep strike from around 20 yards out with 19:02 left in the first half.
At the 31:02 mark of the second half, McClain got on the board with a goal from Larah Henson to tie it up. Henson found the back of the net again at the 26:56 mark to give the Lady Tigers the 2-1 lead, which was the final.
Miami Trace (3-3, 0-3 FAC) will look to regroup and get back on track on Thursday at home against Hillsboro (4-2, 2-1 FAC).
McClain (7-1, 2-1 FAC) is back in action on Thursday at home against Chillicothe (4-2, 3-0 FAC).
