According to reports, the Washington C.H. Police Department responded to the following calls:

Sept. 29

Possession of Drugs: At 11:12 p.m. after being transported to the emergency room for treatment, a small bag of suspected drugs was located on a Clemson Plaza male.

Sept. 27

Violating a Protection Order: Officers made contact with Jeremy Peters to investigate a complaint. The residence Peters was located at happened to be listed on an active protection order filed against him as the protected individual’s residence. Peters was subsequently arrested and charged with violating a protection order.

Sept. 23

Protection Order Violation: At 10:21 a.m., officers responded to John Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. A male and female were arrested for protection order violations after they were found together, both being protected against the other.

Theft: At 7:02 p.m., a North North Street female reported the theft of money from her wallet while she was a patient at the hospital.

Sept. 20

Public Indecency: At 7:20 p.m., officers were called to Washington Cemetery, located at 1741 Washington Ave., in reference to a naked male who was in the fountain. Officers arrived and located a naked male casually sitting on a nearby bench. The male appeared to be exhibiting signs of impairment due to drug usage. Jon R. Stroup was arrested for public indecency and was taken to the Fayette County Jail.

Sept. 19

Theft: At 6:51 a.m., a woman reported to the police department that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) removed property from the bed of her truck. A report was taken.

Theft: At 12:45 p.m., a man reported to the police department that sometime overnight, an unknown person(s) removed property from his vehicle. The man also believes that his vehicle was taken and returned to where it was parked. A report was taken.

Menacing: At 4:32 p.m., the victim of a menacing complaint reported that while in the area of South Elm Street and Clemson Plaza, a known male made threats of serious physical harm. A warrant was obtained for the known male. Officers later located and arrested Dustin Schwalbauch for aggravated menacing.

Criminal Damaging: At 4:32 p.m., a woman reported that while her current boyfriend and ex-boyfriend were in an argument, her ex-boyfriend caused damage to her vehicle. A report was taken and the woman was referred to the city solicitor.

Sept. 18

Disorderly Conduct: At 6:43 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Millikan Avenue for the second time in reference to a neighbor dispute. Subsequently, Shawn Lowe was cited for disorderly conduct.

Sept. 15

Theft: At 9:58 a.m., a Broadway Street resident reported the theft of a kayak from his residence. Two juveniles were later found to be in possession of the kayak and admitted to taking it. The kayak was returned to the owner.

Sept. 6

Wanted Person: At 3:57 a.m. while on patrol, an officer observed a wanted person at McDonald’s, located at 1401 Leesburg Ave. The male fled from the officer on a bicycle. The male hid in the area of US 62 and US 35. Timmy Penwell Jr. was apprehended and taken to jail. Penwell was charged with obstructing official business and the outstanding bench warrant.

Theft: At 11:42 a.m., an employee of St. Catherine’s, located at 250 S. Glenn Ave., reported a theft. The employee stated that over the past several weeks, hair cutting equipment has come up missing. A report was taken.

Sept. 5

Suspicious Persons: At 2:26 a.m. while on patrol, an officer observed two subjects in the middle of the street in the area of Pearl Street at Campbell Street. During the investigation, one of the persons was found to be a juvenile. The juvenile had just received a curfew warning the week prior. The other person was found to be the adult boyfriend of the juvenile. The juvenile had snuck out and met the adult, violating curfew. Trenton Woods was arrested and charged with contributing to the unruliness of a minor. The juvenile was charged with curfew violation.

Suspicious Person: At 5:21 a.m. while on patrol, an officer located a female behind TSC, located at 1650 Columbus Ave. During the investigation, a female was found to be in possession of various types of drug paraphernalia. Cindy Butterbaugh was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Intoxicated Person: At 5:41 p.m., officers responded to the 300 block of Florence Street in reference to an intoxicated male. During the investigation, the male was found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. Austin Biggs was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.

Suspicious Person: At 11:55 p.m. while on patrol, an officer observed a vehicle on the lot of Flagway #2 (The Point), located at 915 E. Market St. The vehicle had been sitting for a long period of time at one of the pumps with a male sleeping in the vehicle. During the subsequent investigation, drugs and drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle. The male was also found to be in possession of several denominations of counterfeit currency. William Durr was arrested and charged with trafficking in drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and counterfeiting.

Sept. 2

Theft: At 1:23 a.m., officers received a complaint that a female let another female borrow her vehicle. When the vehicle was returned, items were missing from it. A report has been completed and the investigation is ongoing.

Aggravated Menacing: At 7:51 p.m., a Washington Avenue male was arrested for aggravated menacing after threatening to shoot a female.
