Miami Trace volleyball beats Washington

The Miami Trace High School volleyball teams hosted the teams from Washington High School on Thursday, Oct. 3.

It was Spike Out Cancer Night and folks currently battling the disease, those who have won their fight against cancer and those who passed away from the scourge were recognized and remembered.

After those emotional tributes, the volleyball matches themselves seemed to have nearly no relevance in the big picture of life.

Still, the matches were played and Miami Trace enjoyed a sweep of their rivals.

Miami Trace won the freshman match, 25-5, 25-8.

In the junior-varsity match, Miami Trace won, 25-14 and 25-15.

In the varsity match, the Panthers defeated the Blue Lions, 25-12, 25-10 and 25-15.

The win was the 30th Frontier Athletic Conference match victory in a row for Miami Trace and the third straight undefeated FAC championship for the Panthers.
