WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE, Ohio — The Fayette Regional Humane Society (FRHS) is thrilled to invite the community to an open house this Saturday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to celebrate its first anniversary at its new Animal Care and Adoption Center at 4 Commercial Ave.

This event offers an opportunity for visitors to tour the shelter, meet the dedicated staff, and interact with some of the furry friends looking for their forever homes. The open house will feature light snacks and refreshments.

“We are excited to celebrate our growth and success over the past year,” said Dr. Lee Schrader, executive director. “This open house is our way of thanking the community for their ongoing support and to show them how their generosity has impacted the lives of animals in need.”

FRHS has been a vital part of the community, working tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home countless animals. The organization invites everyone to come by, learn more about their work, and explore volunteer opportunities.

The Animal Care and Adoption Center currently has 54 cats/kittens and six dogs.
