WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — Laughter is in the air as the Fayette Regional Humane Society (FRHS) presents “Raise the Woof,” an evening of side-splitting comedy to raise funds for furry friends. This event will take place on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. at the Mahan Building on the Fayette County Fairgrounds, and promises to be a night filled with humor, heart, and a commitment to the welfare of animals.

Get ready to chuckle, guffaw, and giggle your way to supporting a noble cause, according to event organizers. “Raise the Woof” will feature a lineup of renowned comedians, handpicked to ensure a night of non-stop laughter. The event will feature the charming and talented Tabari McCoy, known for his wit and infectious humor with Lisa Berry as his opening act.

“This event is not only a night of laughter but also a chance for the community to come together in support of animals in need. Your attendance will directly contribute to providing shelter, medical care, and love to countless animals who deserve a second chance at a happy life,” said Dr. Lee Schrader, FRHS executive director.

There will also be a raffle, taco bar, drinks, and opportunities to learn more about the Humane Society’s initiatives. All proceeds from ticket sales and raffle will go directly toward supporting FRHS’s rescue, adoption, and advocacy efforts.

“We believe in the power of laughter to make the world a better place, and what better way to channel that energy than to support a wonderful cause,” said Brad Adams, FRHS chief humane agent and outreach director.

Tickets may be purchased online at www.fayetteregionalhumane.org or by visiting the FRHS animal care and adoption center at 153 S. Main St., Suite 3, located in downtown Washington C.H.

The Fayette Regional Humane Society is a non-profit (501(c)(3), volunteer organization. It relies on donations, grants, and fundraising to carry out its mission. The Humane Society is the only organization in Fayette County able to respond to calls about abused, neglected, and injured domestic animals, 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
