COLUMBUS — Miami Trace High School’s Soundsations — a fine arts music group — will perform at the Ohio School Boards Association (OSBA) 2023 Student Achievement Fair in Columbus, Nov. 12-13.

The group is one of five selected to perform at the fair, which is celebrating its 25th year at OSBA’s 68th annual Capital Conference and Trade Show at the Greater Columbus Convention Center, according to a news release.

Representing OSBA’s Southeast Region, the group, under director Cameron Baker, will perform Monday, Nov. 13, from 10:30 a.m.- 10:50 a.m. in the convention center’s Hall B. The Student Achievement Fair features original projects and programs created by Ohio public schools and offers excellent opportunities to learn, share ideas and celebrate what public education is all about — helping students achieve.

Thousands of public education leaders are expected to attend the Capital Conference. In addition, nearly 500 exhibitors will display their goods and services at the Trade Show, one of the nation’s largest education trade exhibitions.

“We are ecstatic for our students to perform and share their gifts and talents with others across the state,” said Miami Trace Superintendent Kim Pittser. “Offering elective courses and extracurricular programs to students unlocks many opportunities for learning even beyond classroom settings. We are appreciative to the Ohio School Boards Association for selecting our fine arts music program and look forward to the trip to Columbus.”
