On Wednesday, Dec. 20, several Washington High School students made their way over to Adena High School in Frankfort for FCA Worship Night.

When they arrived, they were welcomed by the Adena FCA group. They started off the evening by singing worship songs. After the singing commenced, the groups then came together to play a few games, including a fruit roll up eating contest, a balloon train game, and charades.

Following the games, the Adena FCA group leaders got on the stage and shared their favorite bible verses and what they meant to them.

Guest speaker Precell Gaskins, fourth-round NFL draft pick in 1995 for the St. Louis Rams, shared a message on how God saved his life and turned his life around. He encouraged students to follow their passion and not to let others control their destiny while following the words of Jesus.

FCA stands for Fellowship Of Christian Athletes. Washington High School has a weekly FCA meeting every Thursday which includes a group of students that gather before school starts to play games and worship. The goal of FCA is to help students understand the importance of following the word of God. It is also a way for students to come together and connect with each other and make new friends while following God’s word.
