WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — At a recent meeting, the Fayette County Commissioners prepared for the new year by approving appointments and contracts.
Rachel Martin was re-appointed to the Fayette County Law Library Resources Board for a five-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2024 through Dec. 31, 2028.
A contract was approved between the Fayette County Department of Job and Family Services and 3C Cab Company to provide non-emergency Medicaid Transportation (NET) services to qualified recipients in the county. Services will be paid for at a rate of 1-5 miles a minimum of $10; 6-15 miles $1.90 per mile; 16-25 miles $1.85 per mile; 26-plus miles $1.80 mile. A pick-up fee will be charged at $2 per leg for trips over six miles. Services provided locally (within Fayette County) will be charged a minimum of $10 per trip. Wait time: The first hour is free, every hour after that is $13 per hour, billed in 15 minute increments. No wait time will be charged for in county runs. In county runs, origin and destination are both located in Fayette County. The contract period is Jan. 1, 2024 through Dec. 31, 2024.
A contract was approved between the Fayette County Department of Job and Family Services and Jackson Transportation Group to provide non-emergency Medicaid Transportation (NET) services to qualified recipients in the county. Services will be paid for at a rate of $4.15 per eligible passenger mile. This rate is calculated on a portal-to-portal basis and the rate is for the entire county. There will be no charge for No Show or missed appointment caused by Jackson Transportation.
The commissioners certified to the Ohio Department of Transportation a total of 315.617 county miles for calendar year 2023.
The commissioners authorized Mike Meadows, information systems manager, to sign Method of Procedures from Horizon on behalf of the board of commissioners.
The commissioners authorized Sheriff Vernon Stanforth to sell surplus inventory through GovDeals Inc., as the equipment is no longer used by the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office. The equipment includes: a Winco Stand-By Generator, a Bryant Furnace Carrier Heat Pump unit, and a Mosler Safe.
