Fancy cars on a sunny day

WASHINGTON COURT HOUSE — John Hinderer Ford on Columbus Avenue hosted a free-entry car show Saturday afternoon from 4-7 p.m. in the bright sunshine.

Bill Goodrich, vice president of operations, said the car show was “to bring the community together to look at some fancy cars and enjoy a sunny afternoon.” Any donations or raffle ticket money collected will benefit United Way, he said.

One of the dealership workers said there were about 50-60 cars in attendance and many spectators.

Hilde Wright, from Grove City, drove her new 2024 C8-Z51 special-order Corvette to the show. She said, “it was her baby.” Wright said she built it with the online application, tweaked it with her dealer, and in four months she had delivery of her new, shiny custom-built car.

Jason and Whitney Gentry brought their twin Corvettes to the show. His car is a C5 2001 silver car, and hers is a C6 2009 car — both convertibles.
